No. GoRoam is built for everyday “what should we do?” moments in your own city, and it also works great when you travel.
Can I explore places in another city?
Yes. You can change your area in the app to another neighborhood or city, including places around the world, and get the same kind of local picks and browsing. It’s useful for trip planning before you leave and on the ground when you arrive.
Do I need an account?
You can sign in quickly with Apple or Google. That keeps your favorites and activity synced.
Is it free?
Yes. The core GoRoam experience will be free to use. We’re testing AI+ features for heavier usage and power users.
What cities does it work in?
You can use GoRoam anywhere we can fetch quality place data. We’re focusing first on major US cities and expanding over time.
Is GoRoam for reviews and research?
The main job is to help you decide and go: picks matched to what you asked for and a short path to a plan. You can open details, photos, and maps when you want more context, but it is not trying to be the place where you read every review line by line or survey the whole market.
Why try GoRoam if Yelp or Maps already covers my town?
Yelp and Maps are great when you want the whole city’s worth of listings to sift through. GoRoam does something different: it leads with a small batch of easy picks tuned to what you asked for, enough to compare without drowning, so you get unstuck fast. If you need more, use maps and categories in the app to widen out, without starting from infinite scroll paralysis.
